Kitchen Tools
Aug 8th
I cannot believe another week has gone by and we are now in August, where oh where did July go!? During the month of July I did a special series of Tuesday evening classes where I talked about the different appliances that make living and eating the Hallelujah Diet easier.
You might not have a lot of these tools and you might not be able to purchase all of them right away but you can do what I did, every birthday, mother’s day, Christmas etc I asked my family to get together and help me purchase what I did not already have and before I know it I had a whole new kitchen of tools. So here is a list to help you decide which tools you want.
KITCHEN TOOLS for your new Kitchen:
I have listed them in order of importance for convenience and easy food preparation.
Knives – One or two good sharp knives will make your cutting and chopping much easier. We carry the Rada knives.
Salad Spinner – It makes drying your greens easier; I actually store the greens in the spinner in the fridge once I have dried them so they stay fresh longer. We carry the OXO spinner.
Storage Containers – We need good quality Glass or Food-grade Plastic containers to store our foods once we have cleaned them. For extra storage use the “Green Bags” and your greens will stay fresh longer.
Juicer – I use the Green Star Elite or Omega Vert Juicers because they operate at slower speeds and do not shred the vegetables, allowing for better nutritional value than the centrifugal juicer. In addition, these units make fantastic frozen desserts, nut butters, and baby-food.
Distiller – Pure water can help cleanse toxins from the body. I have had my WaterWise Distiller for over 9 years; it will pay for itself within 1-2 years and is more convenient and ecological than buying bottled water.
Blender – Use for salad dressings, blended salad, smoothies, soups and sauces. I have my big powerful blender such as the VitaMix or Blendtec, for the big jobs, and I use the Tribest Personal Blender for all my small jobs because it is quicker and easier to clean.
Food Processor – Makes the cutting, chopping and shredding much faster and easier (I use the S-Blade for almost everything). I use the Kitchen Aid 12 cup food processor, what an awesome machine!
Dehydrator – Will help you create great dried fruit, vegetables and snacks. Dehydrated foods will keep for weeks. I love the Excalibur Dehydrator because it has the heating unit and fan on the back wall so all the trays have an even distribution of heat blowing over them. Always keep the temperature around 105F to keep the Enzymes alive.
Mandolin – This will help cut and chop your vegetables and fruits into cubes or julienne strips. It will save you hours of time in the kitchen. We have the OXO mandolin for sale.
Sprouter – Making sprouts is a lot of fun and the best way to get high enzymes from your beans, seeds and grains. Making sprout is easier when you use the FreshLife automatic sprout we carry but you can do sprouting in a jar or a sprouting bag as well. The best results are found when you rinse them often during the 2-4 days sprouting time.
